thistle bar maryhill road has its troubles like every whare in glasgow..this bar was the old claridon bar which was burnt down by accident and rebuit to a beautiful standards''murders stabbers shootins and all the other wrong written lies this is a shame as this pub has lovely staff..new owners fron 2008 which are friendly guys not drug deallers or murderers..quote this pub has a sittin area that serves food 7 days a week till 5pm ..also the 1st pub to be hit by the subway run which has never had as much as a bit of trouble in.. whatever happens out side of this pub shouldnt be reflected on the actuall pub ..the thistle has karaoke at the weekend with dj or live acts to which has been a success..without trouble this is a workin mans pub with a great sence of humour for every one.. 21st 18th thave held the lot and has had great nites..spottless pub yes rough thoughts for the shallow mines .. but then again dont judge thebook buy the covers other people put on it..innocent till proven guilty..also whatever happens between closed doors then think about it we'll never know.. take time to adventure and try for youre'selfs what kind of place this pub is but honestly not a bad place ive drank in worse which i wouldnt name and shame give people a chance and stop bein sad and lonelly and find a real job....dress to inpress or casual whatever suits...thanks for reading

I've never been in this pub but live close to it and see what type of people frequent the place. If you are scum, a murderer, rapist, wife beater, drunk, drug dealer, child molester or generally just born in Glasgow and didn't do well at school. love tracksuits and don't have a basic command of the English language. This is the bar for you!
By the way, it's just been cordoned of the past couple of hours, with the Police and Ambulance Service in attendance. Possibly someone stabbed, glassed, shot.... Who cares. A ned less to worry about in my opinion.
Ok, that's it, I'm off for a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
